Olympic City of Innsbruck
Innsbruck is the beautiful capital city of Tyrol and has so many attractions, sights, and activities to enjoy. The Golden Roof:
Innsbruck's famous "Goldene Dachl" (translated as Golden Roof) is situated in the heart of the picturesque old town. The emperor Kaiser Maximilian had this stunningly beautiful balcony with golden roof tiles built to celebrate his marriage to Bianca Maria Sforza of Milan.
Bergisel Ski Jump:
The majestic ski jump at the Bergisel mountain towers above the city and offers fantastic views. The Bergisel is a very important landmark for Tyroleans as it was the place where the brave Tyroleans fought for their freedom 200 years ago, alongside their leader Andreas Hofer.
Alpenzoo:
The highest zoo in Europe (at 727 metres above sea-level) houses more than 2.000 animals of more than 150 different species in large enclosures with lovely views of the city.
Ambras Castle:
The magnificent Ambras castle is situated above the city of Innsbruck and enchants all guests and is one of the most important historic sights in Tyrol.
